GEORGE TOWN: A businessman claimed trial in a magistrate’s court here to deceiving a man into paying him RM16,000 for the supply of equipment for an event.
Jamalludin Hussain, 51, from Jelutong, pleaded not guilty yesterday to cheating Abdul Karim Ali, 52, by tricking him into believing in the existence of a contract providing a PA (public address) system and plastic chairs.
