Hotel switches off lights for Mother Earth

G HOTEL in Penang plunged into almost total darkness when environmentally conscious guests and staff came together to show solidarity with the planet during the Earth Hour 2013 event.

From 8.30pm to 9.30pm, rooms turned dark as guests switched off all electrical lights and made their way down to a dim lobby, symbolically lighting candles and placing them in a small tub.
