GEORGE TOWN: A couple accused of murdering their maid by starving her to death had their charge amended to culpable homicide not amounting to murder by the High Court.
Justice Zamani Abdul Rahim amended the charge from Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the mandatory death sentence, to Section 304a at the end of the prosecution’s case.
