Women in politics still in backwaters; BN needs to do more to achieve 30%


KUCHING: The importance of women in state politics has yet to be sufficiently reflected by both Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat, according to a leading political analyst.

Prof Dr Jeniri Amir (pic) said Barisan and Pakatan should field more women candidates to reflect their commitment in giving women greater voice in the country’s legislature and allowing them to play a bigger role in nation building.
