THE Perak government has successfully mediated the purchase of a 4ha piece of land on Jalan Changkat Jong in Teluk Intan for the town’s first crematorium and columbarium to be set up.
In announcing the good news, state Non-Islamic Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said plans for the crematorium and columbarium project would soon become a reality with the completion of the land deal between the Lower Perak Chinese Crematorium Building Committee and Sime Darby Bhd.
