Penang’s successful march to victory

THE battle for honours is surely getting tougher. But double champions Penang still managed to hold their own in the first leg of the North Zone 100Plus National Junior Badminton Circuit in Kangar, Perlis.

Penang, who had successfully repeated that rare feat of retaining both the prestigious trophies — the Most Participants Cup and the Best Team trophy in 2011 — opened their quest this season by defending their first leg victory at the four-day Zone A challenge which ended at the Perlis Badminton Hall recently.
