DBKL sets aside 10% from PPR sales for welfare projects


In a move to help hardcore poor families in Kuala Lumpur, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of People’s Housing Project (PPR) units will be used for welfare projects, said Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib.

The proceeds will be channelled to the poor, the disabled, elderly and those unable to pay rent for their units.
