Addressing trade illegality Down Under


KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Association (STA) is part of the Malaysian working group providing input in the drafting of regulations that will detail the operational aspects of Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Act (AILPA) 2012.

With the enforcement of the Act on Nov 29, the importation of illegally logged timber into Australia and the domestic processing of illegally logged Australian raw logs are disallowed.
