Pedestrian traffic lights and zebra crossings to be included in MBPJ plan

EMPHASISING the need for public safety, the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will incorporate push-button traffic lights and designated zebra crossings for pedestrians into the proposed one-way loop conversion system that will take off at the end of the year.

MBPJ Engineering Department director Cheremi Tarman said the pedestrian traffic lights and zebra crossings would be strategically located along the four major roads involved in the conversions, which are Jalan Utara, Jalan Barat, Jalan Timur and Jalan Sultan.
