Malaysian Maritime bust fuel smugglers carrying RM252mil in oil


PENGERANG: An attempt to smuggle 70,000 metric tonnes of oil worth about RM252mil was foiled when the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) intercepted the vessel.

An operation was carried out by the agency in Pengerang waters and found the vessel carrying oil with its captain and 25 crewmen onboard at 5pm on Feb 23.
