Group holds protest over ‘Allah’ issue

GEORGE TOWN: A group of Perkasa and PAS members staged a peaceful demonstration to voice their dissatisfaction against Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng as they felt he had been insensitive towards the Muslim community in the ‘Allah’ issue.

The group, who began gathering as early as 8am at Teluk Bahang Market, held banners that read ‘Kami Mahu Lim Guan Eng Ditahan Dan Diharamkan Kerana Tuntutan Yang Melampau!’ and ‘Kami Pertahankan Majlis Syura Ulama!’ under the watchful eyes of the police.
