KUALA LUMPUR: A 50 metre-long retaining wall collapsed during heavy rain at the site of a bungalow under construction in Taman Nusa Tropika, Ukay Perdana on Monday.
A motorist passing the area, Belinda Muhamed Hassan, 38, told Bernama that she was driving back to her home in Bukit Antarabangsa at 3pm when she saw wall collapsed.
"It was raining heavily. While passing the location, I saw the retaining wall at the bungalow house which was under construction suddenly collapsed and there was a loud noise.
"Luckily, the wall did not collapse on the road," she said.
The incident caused a traffic congestion in the area as part of the road was covered with dirt and debris, and water from a burst pipe.
Workers at the construction site were seen clearing the debris from the road.
