KUCHING: Saratok MP Datuk Jelaing Mersat could find himself competing with a woman for the Barisan Nasional-SPDP ticket to defend the seat in the general election.
The party has apparently submitted to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak more than one name in its list of proposed candidates for all its four seats and it includes a woman for Saratok. SPDP’s other seats are Mas Gading, Bintulu and Baram.
