Honouring Lord Ganesha

SOME 3,000 devotees, tourists and nearby residents of Fettes Road near Mount Erskine in Penang, turned up to witness the consecration ceremony of the Sri Sakthi Vinayagar temple.

Twenty-five Hindu priests went up to the temple’s rooftop and perched on the scaffolds around the domed and sculpted roof, conducted sacred ceremonies, chanted and sang hymns in praise of Lord Ganesha while sprinkling flower petals and holy ash.
