SIBU: An electricity meter at the residence of a single mother, Tang Siew Ping, tripped twice when Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud made a Chinese New Year visit to her house at Lane 19, Jalan Merdeka, yesterday.
Taib’s entourage which included his wife Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang, Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh and his wife, Land Development Minister Tan Sri Dr James Masing and Second Resource Planning Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan were in the house when it happened.
