Cheery welcome in the rain for Deputy PM

BARISAN Nasional will continue increasing its efforts to deliver the best for the people.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said Barisan would keep on fighting for the people.

“A mandate from the rakyat is required to ensure that the party remains strong,” he said in Perlis.

He was launching the state-level Gelombang Biru (Blue Wave) programme at Dataran Datuk Sheikh Ahmad in Kangar on Thursday.

Muhyiddin urged the people of Perlis to continue supporting Barisan regardless of their race.

Despite the rain, thousands of people turned up at the event.

Clad in blue T-shirts and holding blue balloons, they gave the Deputy Prime Minister a warm welcome.

Also present were Perlis Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu, MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung, Gerakan deputy president Datuk Chang Ko Youn and People’s Progressive Party vice-president Datuk Dr Loga Bala Mohan.

Muhyiddin was in Perlis for a one-day working trip.
