Lee: State govt failed to keep promise

THE Penang Government did not fulfil their promise to abolish parking fees at the Cecil Street Market enclave, said Barisan Nasional Pengkalan Kota service task force chairman Lee Hack Teik.

“They claimed that they would abolish the system once they come into power in 2008 but until now, the parking attendants are still issuing parking receipts,” he told a press conference at the Tua Pek Kong temple in Cecil Street, George Town.
