Police get the thumbs up for smooth Thaipusam fest


THE Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) has praised Penang police for ensuring a crime-free environment during the Thaipusam festival in the state.

MCPF executive council member Datuk K.R. Pulayantran thanked state police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi for mobilising more than 300 policemen for the recent three-day event.
