Ex-buskers say legalising street performers a sign of growing acceptance


FORMER Malaysian buskers have welcomed the move by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to legalise street performers in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysian singer-songwriter and former busker Amir Yussof said requiring buskers to audition and apply for a permit would assure some degree of quality among street performers which could add to a city’s street culture.
