MORE than 500 “Spartans-in-training” were put through their paces in an exhilarating non-stop two-hour-long mass workout by Spartan Race chief executive officer and founder Joe De Sena for a taste of what’s to come at the inaugural Malaysian Reebok Spartan Race.
The race, which is one of the flagship events during the country’s first National Sports Day on Oct 10, is regarded as the world’s leading obstacle race, designed to push participants out from their comfort zone and one where overcoming all the obstacles are mandatory. The organiser also assures that there will be “fire, mud, water, barbed wire, and occasionally Hell on Earth”.
