It ain’t over till it’s over

Saviour: Dublin was one of the heroes when Coventry survived relegation.

I WAS a PhD student at Coventry University in the UK between 1994 and 1997. My favourite team was and still is a certain team in red. I have been following English football since 1963. At Coventry, there was an understanding among many Malaysian students. We could support any team but our second team must be Coventry City.

Sunday, May 11, 1997. I had just completed and had handed my PhD thesis in. Now my eyes were set to shout my support for Coventry City Football Club in their final match of 1996/1997 season. They must beat Tottenham Hotspurs at White Hart Lane in order to stay in the English Premier division.
