Policymakers are beginning to look at the efforts required to build young entrepreneurs, and as Asean moves towards integration, there would be a need to formulate a comprehensive regional plan to nurture young entrepreneurs, according to Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin in his address at the Asean SME Showcase and Conference.
He noted that 60% of the population in Asean was below the age of 35, and stressed that young entrepreneurs in the region needed compliance and funding support to expand and become successful Asean brands.
