Taking the food path

1 Sharin (left) and Shaheera started Simply Sandwiches by accident but have big plans for the venture.2 At a corner of The Picnic Table, there are fluffy pillows and picnic blankets for customers who prefer to sit on the floor for an indoor picnic.3 Sharin hopes to develop their own products like sandwich bread and programmes to develop other cafe entrepreneurs.

She started making sandwiches only as a favour to a former colleague, but before you knew it, Shaheera Djafar had partnered up with her friend Sharin Shariff in operating a cafe, writes JOY LEE.

SHAHEERA Djafar started making sandwiches when a former colleague asked if she could cook regularly for her. It was meant to be a small favour. But her close friend, Sharin Shariff, saw an opportunity to start something bigger.
