Suffering in silence

The poor are suffering in silence, and their suffering is going to worsen with the enforcement of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) starting next month.

The GST will add even more weight to the heavy burden that is being shouldered by the poor, the handicapped, the blind, the elderly, single parents and the rural-urban migrants.
