Society’s annual fundraising event raises RM131,000 in aid of several homes

MORE THAN 1,000 guests filled the school hall of SJK(C) Yuk Chai in Taman Megah, as non-profit organisation Gift of Life Society held its yearly fundraising event, titled “Together We Are One” to raise funds to obtain equipment and mobility aids.

A minute of silence was observed for the late Sarawakian Bernard Then, who was killed by Abu Sayyaf militants in the southern Philippines before the event proper.
