RM240,000 worth of fireworks seized


The boxes containing assorted fireworks were seized following a raid at a snooker centre in Taman Bukit Jaya in Johor Baru.

JOHOR BARU: Police discovered about RM240,000 worth of fireworks after stumbling upon a hidden basement at a snooker centre in Taman Bukit Jaya.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Sulaiman Salleh said police spotted a locked door beside the toilet of the premises in Jalan Denai 2, which opened to a hidden stairway leading to a basement at around 3am on Saturday.
