RESIDENTS living in dengue hotspots in Ipoh are taking measures to protect themselves from Aedes mosquitoes during the monsoon season.

Many of those interviewed by The Star said they feel that the rainy season will cause an increase in the number of mosquitoes and are taking precautions to avoid becoming a dengue statistic.
