JOHOR BARU: Tapping underground water and even setting up desalination plants to turn sea water into drinking water are among the options being studied to help meet the state’s water needs in future.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that the state was keen to explore other alternative water sources to meet the growing needs, especially with rapid development taking place in Johor.
