New data shows Lynas plant safe, says CEO

KUANTAN: New data on low background radiation and harmful emissions is proof that the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (Lamp) in Gebeng is safe, says Lynas Corp Ltd’s chief executive officer Amanda Lacaze (pic).

Data collected by third party companies over the last four years showed the plant’s harmful gas emissions were between 87% and 98% below permissible levels, while its effluent quality measurements were “significantly below” permissible limits,” she added.
