A SINGLE tear rolled down retired flight sergeant Zainal Ahmad’s face as a prayer was said for fallen army comrades during the Emergency and Communist insurgency.
After 23 years of service in the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and another 23 in retirement, the 74-year-old stroke survivor was finally awarded his Malaysian Service Medal (PJM) for his work.
