23% reduction in accidental fires

KUCHING: In spite of the hot and dry weather for most of this year, the number of accidental fires has reduced compared to last year.

The Fire and Rescue Department has recorded 1,963 fire incidents up until Nov 1. This is compared to 2,575 cases over the same period last year.
