Groups spread early Deepavali cheer with hampers

SOME 100 poor families, senior citizens and city council staff working in the Air Itam area were treated to a pre-Deepavali gathering organised by the Air Itam Happy Valley Develop-ment and Security Committee (JKKK) in Penang.

The event at Sree Peyarchi Amman temple saw 100 hampers containing rice, sugar, cooking oil, curry powder and bottles of orange cordial being distributed by Air Itam assemblyman Wong Hon Wai.
