Firefighters in survival cook-off

COOKING for others socially is a tough task already, what more cooking a duty meal for colleagues because you are on duty and have to be near the engine at all times during that period.

This measure, which was implemented nationally four years back, has meant that firefighters are now responsible for their own meals, with the station providing the pantry and kitchen space for them to prepare their dishes.
