The income tax relief of individual taxpayers announced in Budget 2016 has received a mixed response from several middle-income earners in Penang.
A 37-year-old freelance photographer, who wished to be known only as Goh, welcomed the move to increase the tax relief from RM3,000 to RM4,000 for his unemployed wife and from RM1,000 to RM2,000 for his four-year-old daughter.
