Hazardous waste manifest required to renew licences

AUTOMOTIVE garages, construction sites, factories, hospital waste services and other industries in Selangor dealing in potentially hazardous waste materials will soon be required to provide a hazardous waste manifest when renewing their annual business licences with the various local authorities.

Selangor Local Government, New Village Development and Legalising Factories committee chairman Ean Yong Hian Wah said the hazardous waste manifest must be made a requisite to allow the 12 local authorities to have an insight on the nature of business and materials left behind at the end of the process.
