KUCHING: The Malaysian household debt level, which is the second highest in Asia, will become worse if the country’s basic needs are not looked into.

PKR Women national vice-president Voon Shiak Ni said Malaysians have almost no choice but to go into debt, citing the lack of public investment in affordable housing and transportation.
