Coming down hard on illegal dumping


Klang Municipal Council Sabastien Rao said Klang Municipal Council is advocating an aggressive stance of seizing vehicles of those who are caught dumping bulky trash along roads or vacant plots of land. MPK has seized 27 vehicles since July this year.

STIFFER punishments with heavier fines are being drafted under a new Solid Waste Management (State of Selangor) Enactment to address the growing concern about illegal dumping in the state that is squeezing local authorities of millions of ringgit.
