SMEs to expand into rural areas

KUCHING: The state government plans to develop new industrial estates in rural areas under the 11th Malaysia Plan to facilitate the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at district level.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said the new estates would be built in rural towns such as Lundu, Betong, Sri Aman, Sebuyau, Marudi and Bau.
