IN scenes reminiscent of the olden days, children fashioned colourful lanterns, lit them up and joined parents for a meaningful night-time stroll outdoors.

The lush grounds of Gurney Plaza in Penang provided a modern setting in contrast to the rural backdrops where such Mid-Autumn Festival tradition first took hold.
