Former state police chief leaves lasting legacy

THE NATION’S history could have turned out differently if Tan Sri Yuen Yuet Leng had chosen not to join the police force and remain a teacher instead.

His former colleague, former Batu Gajah OCPD Datuk R. Thambipillay said he came to know Yuen when the latter was a trainee teacher in Gemas, Negri Sembilan, back in 1949.
