Fama issues 340 letters to retailers for failure to comply with new regulations

MALACCA: The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) has issued 340 warning letters to exporters, importers, wholesalers and retailers of vegetables and fruits for failure to comply with the grading, packaging and labelling (GPL) regulations.

Its Enforcement Division director Mohd Nawawi Harun said out of that number, 110 warning letters were issued throughout Malacca with 30 of them involving supermarkets.
