Strong winds blow off roofs of 40 houses

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Welfare Department and other authorities are providing assistance to families whose houses were damaged during a thunderstorm in Sabah’s east coast Tawau district.

Tawau Fire and Rescue station chief Mohd Razali said no casualties were reported but more than 40 houses had their roofs blow off in Monday’s early morning incident.
