Flood victims from Kampung Labit finally move out of shelters into new houses

AFTER months of putting up in makeshift shelters when floodwaters ravaged her house in Kampung Labit last year, Sharipah Mukthtar can finally enjoy the comforts of a new, concrete house with her family.

The 45-year-old sundry shop worker, who lives with her husband and 23-year-old son, had to move to a community hall in Lenggong town last December when their wooden house was submerged in floodwaters.
