Parade by the sea pays homage to Malaysia’s rich heritage

THE Budaya Celebration by-the-sea in Penang, held to mark National Day, was a vibrant affair with 18 cultural groups taking part in a parade and putting on full performances afterwards.

The event at the Straits Quay seafront promenade at Tanjung Tokong also featured kolattam, joget, silat gendang, Teochew opera and chingay performances.
