Chiefs engage with residents associations and public at event

Not mere merry-making: The PJ station’s Hari Raya open house in Jalan Penchala was also a meet-the-public session where residents conveyed safety-related issues to the district’s division heads at the meet the public counter. Two other police officers gave a safety and security briefing for 7Eleven employees.

INSTEAD of organising one big Hari Raya open house in the Jalan Penchala district police headquarters, the various police stations in Petaling Jaya police district held their separate open houses instead.

District police chief Asst Comm Azmi Abu Kassim had asked the various station chiefs in his jurisdiction to hold individual open houses as a means of fostering better ties with the local community.
