Council launches tree-cutting exercise in south Klang

For people’s safety: Council workers cutting down a tree along Persiaran Seraya in Taman Chi Liung in south Klang.

OVERGROWN trees blocking street lights and tree branches hanging too low that pose a danger to motorists in south Klang are being pruned or cut down.

Under Klang Municipal Council’s (MPK) tree maintenance programme, it has begun to prune overgrown trees, cut branches that block street lights and remove ficus trees where the roots have damaged culverts in monsoon drains.
