MIRI: A big smuggling network may be linked to the attempt by a Sarawakian cargo vessel to smuggle RM33mil worth of contraband cigarettes in the South China Sea offshore of Miri city in northern Sarawak.

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) state director Ismaili Bujang Pit said that since the amount of smuggled cigarettes was so huge, there must be many parties involved.
