Damaged features and misuse of facilities mar square at Ipoh Railway Station

1 & 2 The square’s walkways are riddled with cracks and holes, while some walls are damaged.3 Some of the information boards on tourist spots in Perak have faded.4 There are signboards warning the public against acts such as selling food and drinks, bringing pets, consuming alcohol and vandalism.5 Youngsters can be seen skateboarding or cycling in the area, even though signboards have been put up warning the public against it.Photos: RONNIE CHIN

THE square near the Ipoh Railway Station was once a sprawling area covered with grass and greenery, but it is now no more.

It is now filled with sandy patches which become puddles when it rains.
