Visitors at Chew Jetty bite off more than they can chew

Bad reputation: Local tourists are earning a bad reputation amongst Chew Jetty residents for littering the place when they visit it.

CHEW Jetty residents are fuming mad with local tourists who display a lack of civicmindedness when visiting the iconic area in George Town.

Ong Chiew Kee, 60, who has been living there for the past 30 years, said most of the time, it is the local tourists who disregard the importance of keeping the place clean.
