Carnival time for parishioners

Nina Rajahser (second from left) with her helpers was busy selling mango kassi and herbal drink.

THE smell of juicy hot sausages mixed with the robust fragrance of mutton soup and spiced fried chicken wafted through the air enticing people to check out the carnival at the old church in Brickfields.

About 200 people were seen queueing up at the various stalls inside and outside the church building to buy or take away food, and various items put up for sale to raise funds for the century-old Tamil Methodist Church of Kuala Lumpur’s (TMC) redevelopment project.
